Can I pick up the vehicle at one airport and return it on another?

Yes, of course, it is possible.

Can I change my booking?

You can change your booking up to 48 hours prior to pick up. Please write an email to the address given in the confirmation mail. There is no charge.

Can I cancel my booking?

Cancellation is only allowed up till 48 hours prior to pick up. If you cancel after that date you are obliged to pay the full rental fee.

If I am late returning the car is there an additional charge?

Rental days are based on 24 hour units, commencing at the time of pick up. If you return the car late, you will be charged a full day rate.

Can I drive outside of Montenegro boarders?

You can use the vehicle outside Montenegro only in agreement with EURENT rent-a-car.

How much is the car rent?

The price depends on the number of days for which you are renting the car. To companies which rent cars, special rates are offered in order to satisfy their needs. The price includes regular car maintenance, a change in case the car is crashed or broken, third person insurance and 17 % VAT. The price does not include petrol.

When shall I confirm the booking?

It’s in your best interest to confirm the booking as soon as possible after having received our offer, so we can offer you the best possible price. We confirm the booking by sending you confirmation mail. Once you did booking – you are guaranteed that the agreed vehicle will wait for you under the agreed conditions.

How do I book the car?

You can book the car by e-mail or by phone.

Why I have to give flight number?

We ask you about flight number to rent a car in Montenegro. To reason of this is that our staff will be on time at the airport even if the flight is delayed. Do not worry if your flight is canceled because we will be informed.

What if the plain is late?

Eurent Rent A Car assures you that our agent will wait for you - by knowing your flight number we will have precise information about your landing time.

How will you find our agent at the airport?

Eurent - Rent a Car representative will meet you with your name written on the board.

I have booked but have not received my email confirmation?

You will automatically receive an email confirmation. If you have not received an email confirmation please send an email to info@eurent.me stating this fact. Then we will inquire into the matter.

What about petrol?

The car will be provided to you with a full tank. If you do not return the car with a full tank we will charge you for the re-filling according to our re-filling chart.

Can I rent a car if I don’t have a credit card?

Yes, we accept cash.

What kind of credit cards do you accept?

In general we accept Visa, American Express, Master card etc.

How do I make a complaint once the rental is over?

Please send an email to our manager at info@eurent.me stating your agreement number and your complaint.

What do I need to pick up the car?

(1) A valid credit card or cash (2) Driving licence: Must be valid and at least two years driving experience. If in non-roman alphabet you must have a translation.

What do I do if I have an accident?

In the event of an accident, it is important that details are reported to police (dial 122) and to Eurent rent a car immediately. In case you are not at fault we will provide you with another vehicle. You must also complete and sign any paperwork given by the police. Full details of third parties should also be obtained. You should retain copies of all rental documentation in the event an insurance company is involved. Your insurance cover may be invalidated if this procedure is not followed correctly and this may prejudice any claim for compensation.

What if the car breaks?

Call the numbers we gave you when we passed you the car, we are here for you 24/7. Vehicles from our fleet are quite new and have factory-covered guarantee.

What if I return the car early?

If you either chose or had to return your vehicle, prior to the pre-booked completion date, we regret to say that we are unable to refund any of the unused rental time.

Am I allowed to take the cars off-road?

In case the car is taken off road all insurances are null and void. Any and all damages attributable to the driving off-road will be charged to the customer.

Can more than one person drive the car?

Yes, but please state the other driver when you pick up the car. This is important for insurance reason and in case you are being pulled over by the police.

Children and safety?

In many countries children under 135cm are required to sit in a child seat or booster. You can take these seats in Eurent rent a car free of charge.

What if I get lost?

May we recommend that you book a GPS with the car? With this you are never lost. Plus, it is free of charge.

How can I get an invoice?

We will send an invoice to you by email after return of the car including all details. If this does not satisfy your special needs please don’t hesitate to make us aware of this and we will make any reasonable amendments.

Must I have my driver’s license with me?

Yes, we do only accept original drivers licenses which are not expired and in roman letters. We do not accept copies.

Once I have collected the car, can I extend the lease?

Generally yes, however in peak season from time to time we have to reject this request if other guests have made reservation and we are out of cars.

What should I do with paperwork pertaining to my rental?

We advise you to retain any paperwork you receive, including the rental agreement, final invoice, and fuel receipts - this will enable us to assist you in answering any questions you may have.

Driving regulations in Montenegro

Most roads in Montenegro are curvy and mountainous, so speeds over 70 km/h are rarely legal, and rarely safe.

SPEED LIMIT - Speed limit is 80km/h on the open road, unless signs specify otherwise. Speed limit inside the cities is 50km/h.

SAFETY BELTS - The use of safety belts is compulsory

MOBILE PHONES - Use of cell phones while driving is prohibited. Hands Free systems are an exception.

HEADLIGHTS - It is necessary to use headlights 24 hours a day in Montenegro.

The best way to travel in Montenegro by hired vehicle is to rent a car from a registered car rental agency. The prices are affordable and the car hiring services have international standards including the reliable insurances.

Useful driving tips

When driving from Podgorica to Budva, one can choose between the two ways, either via Historical Capital of Cetinje where The King Nikola’s Castle and Cetinje Monastery can be visited or the road via tunnel Sozina can be taken which shortens the journey significantly; it’s advisable to travel via Sozina tunnel if you are heading towards cities of Bar , Ulcinj, Sutomore, Petrovac , Budva, Kotor, Herceg Novi. When driving from Budva to Kotor, there are also two ways – one is via tunnel Vrmac, that’s the shorter and safer road, but for the taste of adventure we suggest taking the old road through Trojica hill above the city of Kotor, that’s steep and tortuous mountain road but from there you can enjoy the picturesque panoramic view on Kotor bay, surrounding countryside landscape and remote villages.
